Go Astros!!
I finally got the boys to turn around long enough to take of picture of them.
Looks like Austin got a hold of the camera.
What a smile!!
She cheered every time she heard the crowd cheer. She was having a blast!
A big wad of gum and a big smile.
Yes, that is a peanut in his nose....
We had such a good time at the game. We made it all the way to the 8th inning, but unfortunately, we missed an awesome ending that would have happened right in front of us. Oh well, Cali was ready to go, sorry Daddy. ;)

Dr. Mom
That wasn't the ONLY reason for my visit though. Like I said, my mom's whole family lives in Iowa so I wanted to see them too. :) My Grandpa, Jerry, was born and raised in South Dakota. After living in California and Oregon for a good portion of his life, he decided that it was time to head back to the midwest (that was sometime in the late 80's). My mom is the oldest of 3 children. She has two baby brothers; my uncle Clay and uncle Erik. My uncle Clay has lived most of his life in California, until about 12 years ago, when he moved to the midwest to help take care of my grandpa when he had a stroke. My uncle Erik actually lived in England for a good portion of his life. After serving in the Air Force he decided it was the place to be, I guess. Anyway, he's also been in Iowa for some time now. Not long after the majority of my mom's family was living in Iowa, my Grandma, Nancy, followed and lives about a mile away from my uncle Erik. Then, my mom moved to Mississippi!! What a punk!
Sunday was the best. We all just hung out at my uncle's house, ate, visited, played games, went for a walk, etc. I loved it!! I think Cali really had a good time too. She got so much attention that it just wore her out! She gave more kisses than I've ever seen her give and she smiled all day long, until it was time to eat or sleep. The downfall to having so much fun, was that I forgot to get my camera out. I only have a couple pictures from the actual graduation itself. My sisters, however, took many pictures so I'm hoping to get some when they get a chance to share, and I will definitely pass them on. :)

Excitement Galore!!
I just realized that I haven't blogged in over a week! I have been so busy ready all the new blogs my friends have posted, that I've forgotten to update my own. Here's a little update for those that would like to know....
- Volleyball is finally over for the season. It was an interesting couple of months for me in the volleyball world, so the end of the season was very welcomed.
- I had my first overnight away from my family in over a year! I'm still nursing Cali at night before she goes to bed, so I haven't even thought about leaving overnight. But, with the ending of the volleyball season came the final tournament. Marcus would rather fish, Austin would rather be with daddy fishing. I decided it would be harder on Cali to stay with me at a volleyball tournament for two days, I in the best interest of my family (teehee) I left. It would have been totally great, except the fact that the girl I coach with was throwing up all weekend and I had to play "mom" to her. Oh well, I still had fun.
- Jason Castro FINALLY got the boot on American Idol!! He should have been gone SO long ago and there are so many others that should have been in his place. Oh well, at least there are three great contenders left. Who will it be tonight????
- Cali started walking, sort of. She's been very interested in standing and cruising along the couch and especially if she was holding my hands. She's really been getting more and more brave and balanced. It won't be long before she's completely independent!
- Mother's Day was GREAT! Actually, the whole weekend was pretty good. We got to spend a lot of time together as a family, which I always enjoy, but it was especially sweet. Marcus banished me to my bedroom for a little quiet time, which I totally took advantage of and finished my Book of Mormon. When I was finally allowed to return to the kitchen, I still wasn't allowed to see their little project. I'll have to take a picture of it, but they had been painting with finger paints and glitter glue and made me a poster for Mother's Day! It was beautiful!! All the handprints, footprints and drawings....a major work of art. And Marcus even framed it! What a great guy I have.
- I got to visit with some friends that are living in Houston for the summer. I met them when Marcus and I lived in North Carolina for a summer selling home alarm systems. (he sold them, I lounged by the pool.) Their husbands are still selling door-to-door during the summer and this year they happen to be here....they live in Canada the rest of the time, so it's extra special. I haven't seen them in 3 years so we had a blast!
- I'm getting ready to head to Iowa this weekend for my mom's graduation. She's getting her PhD!! Cali and I are leaving the boys behind and heading out for a weekend of fun and festivities. Well, as much fun as one can have at a boring ceremony such as I'm headed to. I am excited to see lots of family though. My mom's whole family lives up there....my grandma, grandpa, two uncles, an aunt, cousins, and my brother and sisters will be there too (those that belong to my mother, which are only 4).
- We're also looking forward to my sister's wedding in June. We're headed to California for that one and we're going on an extra long visit so we can spend a couple days at the beach!! Hooray!!!
Well, I think that about sums up my past week of excitement. *lol* I hope yours has been just as eventful as mine!
