3 Things....

I've seen this on a couple friends' blogs and I wanted to give it a try. It was tougher than I thought to narrow some things down to only 3. Try it if you like.

3 Joys

1. My best friend and husband, Marcus
2. My beautiful children
3. The Gospel

3 Fears

1. Losing one of my children
2. Public speaking (getting better)
3. spiders and bugs!!

3 Goals

1. Settle down in a place that I know we will be happy and live for a long time...no more moving!
2. Finish all the schooling that I started.
3. Be debt free!!

3 Current Obsessions

1. Mario Kart on my Wii
2. Cleaning...my spring cleaning hit me a little late.
3. Diet Dr Pepper ;)

3 Surprising Facts About Me

1. I like a little alone time, but I don't like being lonely.
2. I have offered to be surrogate mother, and came pretty close to actually doing it, but the church advises against it...it was Marcus that didn't think he could handle letting the baby go after 9months of pregnancy.

3. I love being a girly girl, but I fit better when I'm on a farm.

Suckfest!!

I've been feeling rather sucky today because of the rain. I love thunderstorms, but not when they put a halt to my plans....no swimming today. So here, my friends, are 20 reasons why I suck:

1. I don't clean my house nearly as often as I should.
2. I'm way too organized for my own good.
3. I hate doing dishes, but I hate a dirty kitchen....bummer.
4. I spend more money than I admit to my husband. ;)
5. I let things bother me that really shouldn't.
6. I get too involved in others' business and think I can help.
7. I cry at just about anything.
8. I cry when I'm mad.
9. I say "yes" to EVERYTHING! (even when I know I shouldn't/can't)
10. I don't plan FHE every week like I need to.
11. I don't exercise every day like I should.
12. I eat when I'm bored.
13. I drink WAY too much Diet Dr. Pepper and not enough water.
14. I can't do a cartwheel.
15. I'd rather blog than do what I should be doing. ;)
16. I'm pretty indecisive, I guess...what do you think?
17. I don't keep in touch with friends like I want to....unless blogging counts??
18. I read blogs and don't always comment!!!! uh oh...
19. I do things to try to please others rather than doing what I want.
20. I'm not very creative and I copy others a lot.

There. Just 20 reasons why I suck. That's enough for today....darn rain.

Vacation Part II

I will have more pictures of Erin's wedding as soon as possible. The week we spent in California wasn't ALL wedding. During our vacation we had to have a little "vacation", so we packed up and went to the beach for two nights. I just love going to the beach, but we couldn't have asked for better weather! Plus, all the kids really did well traveling and following directions during the entire trip. (My kids weren't the only ones that came, my brother's 4 joined us.) Here are a couple pictures from our beach adventures:

Cali, Austin and Isobelle (neice) head straight for the water!

It's pretty cold, but he's lovin' it.

She's doing all she can to keep her balance...

...and when she fell she found the mud.

Hangin' with my hubby

Cali and Kayden just spending time in the sand (it was a little chilly at first).

Keegan and Kristin warming up before catching some waves.
My Dad soaking it up!!
Me and my big brother.
Me and my baby sister. (she's eating sunflower seeds)
Austin and Isobelle finally out of the water!

Austin and Kobe (6)

(Isobelle's big brother, Marc's second oldest) Cali fell asleep after the morning on the beach...

...this is how she woke up after 2 hours asleep.
Happy Girl!!

P.S. I just realized that the month is wrong on the pictures, these really were last weekend!!

Home Sweet Home

I love going to visit my family, but I really love being home. This past weekend we were in California for one of my sister's wedding. From the moment we arrived at my parents house I was helping to get things ready. From the bridal shower to their farewell after the reception....I am worn out! I'll post later about all the other happenings of the weekend, because it wasn't ALL wedding stuff, but first I want to post about the wedding.
First, a little background/reminder. My family is big and CRAZY! Of all my siblings, I only have one full blooded brother and one full blooded sister, of which I'm the middle child. But all in all, with all 8 siblings, I'm third oldest. Just a quick rundown; Christine is the oldest (35) from my mom's first marriage, Marc (29) is my brother, then me, Karin (24) is my crazy sister ;), Erin (24) is my step-sister from my step-mom's first marriage, Keegan (22) is her brother which makes him my step-brother (duh), Nathan (19) is my half-brother from my dad and step-mom (he's the one going on a mission in August...that blog to come too), and last, but definitely not least, Kristin (16) is the baby sister of Nathan which makes her my half-sister. Whew!!!
My Dad and Step-mom (Jill) were married when I was 6 years old. We all grew up together in the same house from very young, so I don't really think of, or refer to, my step and half siblings as such. Erin was only 3 when they got married, which made Keegan just under 2 years old....they are my brother and sister, just not by blood. :) Erin is the one that was married this weekend.

Congratulations Erin and Chad!!!!
I'll get more pictures as soon as I can...
This is Erin, The Bride, before the ceremony. We were all in a room getting ready. I guess she got a little hungry....

This is Erin and our cousin Aulani.....happy times!!!

This is my baby sister, Kristin, getting her hair done and stuffing her face! ;)

This is my brother Marc's little girl Isobelle. She was the flower girl and Austin was the ring bearer....they are about 9 months apart.

Jill getting make-up, Kristin STILL getting her hair done, and Isobelle supervising. :)

Isobelle entertaining us before we headed to the reception.

My little Cali loved the chocolate fountain...that's my girl!!
This is the only picture I got of Austin...he was the ring bearer in the ceremony. It was memorable enough, I guess. Taking a break.
My smart hubby took a picture of me at the reception to share with my friends...what a guy!
A little time for a photo op with the hubby!
My brother Marc and two of his boys, Kobe and Kayden.
